The VITAL Tour
The purpose of this section is NOT to insult or tear apart
other styles / systems. It is to inform you about all the
stuff currently out there to choose from. We will give you
our opinion about it, and let you conclude what you will
about each.
For someone who just started to become interested in
self-defense, it can be an intimidating world of too many
options to choose from. Each one is says how much better
they are than the others. Each claims to be the ultimate
self-defense for you!
As you can imagine, each potential personal solution to
violence we go over has it’s pros and cons. Additionally,
there are some that are generally very good, and others
that are abysmal. Some suit only specific student types,
such as military or police. It’s a fairly mixed bag of
choices out there. We will do our best to guide you through
them.
Although we don’t necessarily intend to be bias to our own
agenda, we are Human and that’s just the nature of things.
We will attempt to minimize it, but admittedly, it will
always be there. Feel free to do more research and draw
your own conclusions. If you come away with a different
conclusion then us, we would ask that you contact us so we
may learn from you. We are always open to new ideas. It is
possible that we are in error, and we want to be
open-minded… but not so open-minded that our brains fall
out!
SIDE NOTE: The next section is the Martial Arts section. As
you will see, it is quite large with lots of sub-sections.
We cover this first because it is a big subject to talk
about in relation to the point we are making. It is also
the most controversial topic we discuss and thus needs the
most clarification and argument support. There are many
aspects in our discussions on martial arts that will also
carry over to the other subjects as well. In essence what
we are getting at here is that the martial arts section is
pretty lengthy because it covers almost all our main
points. Once we get through the martial arts section, it’s
all downhill from there because much of the argument would
have already been established in the martial arts
section.
